What do we do? 

The 209 House is a safe, structured home providing family-based support for women in transition: empowering them to build stable, healthy, independent, & purpose-driven lives!

 We are not limited to only accepting women in recovery, any woman is welcome to apply, although, everyone must be drug/alcohol abstinent & follow the house guidelines. 

 

Please read these guidelines in full: 

  • You are a guest of The 209 House participating in a program– not a tenant. Management may discharge you from the program at any time. If you refuse to leave, law enforcement may be contacted and legal action taken. 
  • Honesty, communication, respect, and everyone’s safety are top priorities. If these standards are not met, The 209 House may not be the right fit and you may be asked to leave.  
    • We feel that these qualities are essential for a successful life and are expected from everyone in the home ALL THE TIME.
    • To help maintain a safe, peaceful, drug- and alcohol-free home, all of our guests are expected to work as a team and will agree to inform staff if someone is breaking house rules. 
    • Communication needs to be done daily with staff.
    • Positive & respectful attitudes are always expected. 
    • Full honesty is required and always expected in the house.
      • Everyone makes mistakes—but we take accountability, learn from them, and continue to grow.
  • The 209 House works on a write-up system. If you get 3 write-ups, you will be asked to leave the house. 
  • We are very goal oriented at The 209 House. Everyone should be working towards a specific goal. 
  • Random drug/alcohol screening at any given time. Must produce within one hour of request. 
  • Random room/vehicle searches are done by staff for contraband. 
  • Individuals are on a phase system: Move-In Phase individuals are required to be on LIfe 360 (phone tracking app) for the first 14 days of arrival. See phases at the bottom of this page for additional info. 
  • If you are mandated by parole, probation or court and you are discharged for any reason, the incident will be reported immediately to the supervising officer. Any write-up will also be communicated with your parole/probation officer. 
  • No refunds given under any circumstances. 
  • Mandatory house meetings on Monday nights at 5:30pm. DO NOT BE LATE. Bring weekly schedules and signed meeting slips to hand in.
  • Everyone is required to have a care coordinator/case manager and peer support specialist. Ask if you want a recommendation.
  • We encourage a minimum of 3 month stay, but we are flexible. If you’re working towards goals and still following all rules, you may stay up to one year or longer with staff approval. 
  • EVERYONE IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO HOLD OTHERS ACCOUNTABLE!! THIS ISN’T “SNITCHING”, this is looking out for one another & not putting their own/others sobriety or progress at RISK! ANY threats resulting from a participant telling the house manager about another’s violations, will NOT be tolerated. 

 


1. No use of alcohol or drugs

  • This included marijuana, even if you hold a medical card. 
  • Any contraband including, but not limited to, paraphernalia, substances, alcohol, weapons, etc is subject to IMMEDIATE DISCHARGE & CHARGES FILED. 
  • Refusal to submit to a drug/alcohol test will be considered an admission of using. 
  • Anyone on a MAT Program (Medical Assist Treatment) must be approved by staff before entering the house. 
  • If you assist or allow another individual to use (this includes not informing the house manager if you are aware of another individual in violation) you will be immediately discharged.


2. Medications

  •  All doctor prescribed medication and over-the-counter drugs MUST be approved BEFORE entering the house. 
  • The 209 House reserves the right to request any documentation for any Doctor prescribed medications. 
  • All medications should be locked in a lockbox and stored out-of-sight at all times and in the original labeled container. 
  • The 209 House has permission to count medications at any time to help ensure they’re not being abused. 
  • The 209 House does not ever hold any individual’s medication. Everyone is responsible for their own medications at all times. 
  • Guests may not use mouthwash, or any other product, unless it’s alcohol free. Ex: Nyquil. 

3. Medical

  • The 209 House is not liable for any individual’s health at any time. The 209 House is not a hospital, nor a treatment facility. 
  • In case of an emergency, CALL 911! Other participants and staff will be as helpful as possible, but will NOT be responsible for an individual's condition or emergency/medical treatment. 
  • In the event of an overdose, if able, immediately administer Narcan. 
    • Multiple Narcan kits are in the main floor hallway closet. 
    • Multiple Narcan kits are in the medicine cabinet bathroom sink area. 

4. Relapse

  • In the case of an individual relapsing, management will carefully consider the next steps on a case by case basis. 
  • OPEN AND HONEST communication is KEY.
  • You have 24 hours to disclose to staff about the relapse. 
  • DO NOT come onto property if you are under the influence – call staff. 
  • If you are under the influence and come onto the property, you will NEVER be allowed to return to The 209 House in the future. 
  • Remember: relapsing can be a part of recovery, BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE! 


5. Security

  • Individuals are monitored via Life360 for the first 14 days minimum while on the Move-In Phase or Refocus Phase to build trust & hold accountability. 
    • Always leave your location ON. 
    • You can shut off notifications on the app.
  • Security cameras are in use on the exterior of the property at all times. 
  • No interior cameras at this time to provide privacy. We want this to feel like a home, not a facility. 
  • Exterior doors have a fingerprint lock system
  • Doors lock automatically after 15 seconds, but please ensure they are locked when leaving and arriving.
  • Do NOT open the doors for anyone unless staff asks you, besides law enforcement.

 

6. Confidentiality 

  • Facetime or video chats are to be done in private. Be sure to not get anyone else in the video. 
  • Never share with anyone outside of the house who is current/past guests of The 209 House.
  • If getting a ride from someone who doesn’t live in the house, please have them pick you up down the street.
    • NO PARKING in front of the house or driveway while they wait
  • NO visitors allowed - this includes peer support, care coordinators, case workers, etc. unless approved by staff.
  • No one is allowed in any other’s bedrooms EVER. 


7. Meetings 

  • Individuals will attend a minimum of 3 approved AA, NA, or similar step-work meetings a week. 
  • Must have signed meeting slips signed and handed in at Monday night meetings. 
  • Must be ON TIME and participate in meetings. 
  • Encouraged to find a sponsor ASAP. 
  • Outpatient may be considered as meetings upon staff discretion. 
  • Women for Sobriety meetings are held bi-weekly at the house.
  • We try to have guest speakers bi-weekly as well.  


8. Financial 

  • Everyone pays $500 a month to participate in the program. These payments are split between two payments on the 1st and 15th if desired. 
  • Individuals are encouraged to try to get assistance for the first month’s program entry fee if you’re able. 
  • Women are expected to be self-sufficient for their program fees going forward. 
  • If you don’t have funds when applying, please still apply and we will discuss a payment plan if needed. 
  • If the monthly program fee is not paid or is late, guests may be placed on Refocus Phase until paid. 
  • Money is never to be borrowed from anyone for any reason. 


9. Individuals are not allowed to work, or go into, any establishment where alcohol is the main focus of the establishment. 

  • Including, but not limited to, bars, night clubs, casinos. 
  • Any questionable establishment should be cleared with staff. 
  • No gambling of ANY sort. 


10. No participation or involvement of any illegal activities. 

  • Any and all incidents/interactions with police must be brought to attention of management immediately. 
  • No unhealthy communication regarding drugs, alcohol, or stories of “using days” that glorify addiction or criminal behavior. 


11. All individuals are required to work, attend school, outpatient treatment, or volunteer a minimum of 30 hours a week.  No exceptions.

  • Individuals must supply the house manager with a work schedule at Monday night meetings. 
  • Curfew may be adjusted for work with staff approval as long as it’s not disrupting housemates. 
  • Upon entering if employment isn’t secured, individuals must apply for a minimum of 5 jobs a day until they have officially started their first shift. 
  • You will be required to share daily where you have applied with staff. 
  • If you aren’t showing much initiative to find employment/volunteer work, you will be asked to leave the house or given a deadline.Everyone should be productive throughout the day, this is not a place to sleep and hang out all day. 
  • HireQuest or People Ready may be a good option until securing employment. 
  • Express Employment helps to secure long-term employment as well.


12. Transportation

  • Individuals are responsible for their own transportation. 
  • Bus stop is about a block away from the house
  • Two electric bikes are available for use AT YOUR OWN RISK. 
    • If you wish to use a helmet, you must provide your own. 
    • ALWAYS lock up bikes with provided bike lock. 
    • Bikes must be brought inside the house after each use. 
    • Don’t charge for more than 4 hours - set a timer on phone. 
  • If asking other 209 housemates for rides, please be courteous on offering gas money - $3-5 per ride is acceptable. Please, don’t overask! 
  • No personal vehicles to be driven without providing proof of valid license, current registration, and proof of insurance for vehicle. 
  • No lending your vehicle to anyone in the house. 
  • No loud music when pulling up or parked outside the house. 
  • No street parking on Wednesdays. 


13. Food

  • Everyone is responsible for their own food. Can assist with a ride to the food pantry upon arrival and we have shelves for everyone to use at the house. 
  • Eating can be done in the kitchen or living room. 
  • Snacks/drinks in bedrooms are fine. 
  • Food is not to be on the counter. Please put in your designated spot. 
  • DO NOT touch any other housemate’s food EVER. 


14. Cleanliness

  • Hygiene to be practiced daily. 
  • Chores to be done and checked off daily.
  • Chore done by noon daily if not working in the morning, or done immediately after work. 
  • Deep cleaning is done at 5:30 together before Monday house meetings. 
  • Deep cleaning checklist in the pink binder. 
  • Bedrooms must always remain tidy and beds made by 9:30am daily. 
  • No sleeping on the couch or the floor.
  • Dishes to be done immediately after use! 
  • No shoes in the house! 


15. Bedrooms

  • Bedrooms are shared with two twin size beds/bedding. Laundry hamper, storage tote, pillow, hangers, nightstand, dresser, towels, are all available for use. 
  • Each individual is allowed to bring the equivalent of 2 large suitcases. 
  • No nail/tack holes allowed, please use tape for wall hangings. 
  • No additional furniture to be brought in without staff approval. 
  • No individual shall change assigned beds or rearrange furniture without staff approval. 
  • No one is allowed in anyone else's bedroom EVER. 
  • Tell staff immediately if you see anyone in anyone else's room. 


16. Bathrooms

  • Only use your designated bathroom unless emergency. 
  • Do not use anyone else's items. 
  • ALWAYS keep the hair trap in the drain. Empty after each use. 
  • DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper. No tampons, pads, wads of hair, Qtips, etc. 
  • Nothing to be left on the bathroom counters. 


17. Laundry

  • If laundry is left in the machine for longer than 15 minutes, any individual can remove it and put into the small laundry basket in the laundry room. Do not put into the dryer. 
  • Do not complain about someone taking laundry out of washer/dryer if it was left. 
  • The 209 laundry detergent is only for women who have not started employment/received their first check or for household bedding/rugs/etc. 
  • Empty lint trap after each use. 


18. Quiet Time

  • 9:30 pm all 7 days of the week. 
  • No cooking, coffee, or washer/dryer use after quiet time. 
  • Individuals may watch television until midnight, as long as no others are disturbed.


19. Belongings

  • Any items left at The 209 House for longer than 48 hours after a guest leaves will be considered a donation. 
    At no time is The 209 House responsible for an individual's belongings. 
    If you are missing items, notify staff ASAP. 


20. Miscellaneous 

  • No stealing, fighting, or threats of physical violence whatsoever. 
  • No receiving mail until at least 30 days after arrival, must be approved by staff. 
  • No dating or romantic relationships with any other participants in the house.
  • Smoking and vaping are only permitted OUTSIDE. Throw cigarette butts in the designated sand bucket and dump when needed. 
  • No space heaters, personal fridges, candles, or incense are permitted.
  • Do not touch the thermostat at any time without staff approval. 
  • Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies are all provided. 
  • Hygiene products are available upon request when first arriving. 
  • WiFi and house laptop provided for use. Laptop to be brought back to the living room after each use. 

 


Phases of The 209 House 

  • Staff will try their best to be FAIR, FIRM, & CONSISTENT to all women of the house! If you have questions or concerns, please communicate!!
  • No individuals may spend time or communicate with anyone in active addiction/alcoholism. No exceptions. 
  • Management reserves the right to lengthen or place a participant back onto Refocus phase, phase 1, or phase 2 at any time if deemed necessary. 
  • EVERYONE IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO HOLD OTHERS ACCOUNTABLE!! THIS ISN’T “SNITCHING”, this is looking out for one another & not putting their own/others sobriety at RISK! ANY threats in result of a participant telling the house manager about another’s violations, will NOT be tolerated. 

 

Move-In Phase: Minimum of 14 days

Phase One: Minimum of 30 days

Phase Two: Minimum of 3 months

Phase Three: Until Move Out Date

 


Move-In Phase: (starts on move-in day for minimum of 14 days)

Allowing you to give yourself time to ease into everything, get settled in, build relationships with the other women of the house, build trust, & continue with a healthy structured lifestyle. 

 

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Get staff approval BEFORE you leave the house: please include where and who you will be with. Text Amanda with updates. 
  • Must download and always keep a location on Life360 to build trust -  you may shut off notifications. 
  • Can only leave the property for 2 hours a day for productive activities only. 
    • Does not include working hours if already employed.
    • Ex: gym, job hunting, appointments, groceries, etc.
    • Two hours is additional to NA/AA meetings.
  • Curfew is 8:00 pm until 6:00am. 
  • Extra chores may be given by the house manager.
  • May be required to volunteer to stay busy/help in the community until working.
  • Must officially start your first full shift of employment & have paid the $500 move-in fee before potentially moving up to the next phase. 
  • Management MUST approve BEFORE increasing phases!

 


Phase One: (minimum of 30 days starting after the Move-In Phase)

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines. 
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase One. 
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval. 
  • Curfew is 9:00 pm until 6am. 
  • Two overnight passes after 14 days in Phase One with approval. Must let staff know location and who you will be with. 
  • Management MUST approve BEFORE increasing phases! 

 

Phase Two: (Minimum of 3 months after Phase One)

  • Must follow all The 209 House participant guidelines.
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase Two.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Curfew is 10 pm until 6am. 
  • Up to 4 overnight or out of town passes per month - need to know location and who you will be with.
  • Management MUST be approved BEFORE increasing phases!

 

Phase Three: (Until move-out date)

  • Must follow all The 209 House participant guidelines
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase Three.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Curfew is 10:30pm until 6am. 
  • Up to 5 overnight or out of town passes per month - need to know location and who you will be with.

 

REFOCUS PHASE (special circumstances ONLY):

This phase may be used if monthly fee’s are past due, in between employment official start day,  after certain violations of the house guidelines, or if the house manager deems necessary. 

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Get staff approval BEFORE you leave the house: please include where and who you will be with.
  • Can only leave the property for 2 hours a day for productive activities only. 
    • Ex: gym, job hunting, appointments, groceries, etc. 
    • Two hours is additional to NA/AA meetings & church.
  • Curfew is 8:00 pm until 6:00 am. 
  • Extra chores may be given by house manager.
  • All monthly fees should be up to date before possible changing phases. 
  • Must meet and be approved by staff before being released off of Probation Phase. You may return or level down depending on staff’s decision. 
  • BE very aware of your behavior while on refocus!!! EVERYTHING COUNTS.

 


OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO SUCCEED AND WILL TAKE THAT APPROACH WITH ACCOUNTABILITY. IT’S UP TO YOU TO EARN AN  INCREASE YOUR PHASE NUMBER!

The 209 House may implement other rules or regulations on an individual or the community as it deems necessary. These rules are laid out as clearly as possible to avoid confusion. If unsure, ask the house manager. Do not wait until after you have done it.

Honest and open communication is KEY.

  • I agree to waive and relinquish any and all claims and demands for damages which may or might arise in any way and from any cause, whether from personal treatment or any patent/latent defect in the premises or other direct or implied negligence, regardless of the nature and the occasion thereof.
  • I agree to release all liability towards The 209 House house management and owners of the property. 
  • I understand that The 209 House is not a treatment facility and that they are not responsible for my  well-being or medical issues whatsoever. 
  • I am not under the influence of any non-prescribed mind- or mood-altering substances at this time and I understand what I am signing.
  • I understand that The 209 House is not responsible for me if I relapse and transportation from the house is my responsibility. I understand that The 209 House will not make arrangements for me.
  • I understand that I release The 209 House of any liability for any injuries on the electric bike and any rides given by any member of staff or fellow progrom participants as it to be used at MY OWN RISK.

Guests may not use mouthwash, or any other product, unless it’s alcohol free. Ex: Nyquil. 


3. Medical

The 209 House is not liable for any individual’s health at any time. The 209 House is not a hospital, nor a treatment facility. 
In case of an emergency, CALL 911! Other participants and staff will be as helpful as possible, but will NOT be responsible for an individual's condition or emergency/medical treatment. 
In the event of an overdose, if able, immediately administer Narcan. 
Multiple Narcan kits are in the main floor hallway closet. 
Multiple Narcan kits are in the medicine cabinet bathroom sink area. 


4. Relapse

In the case of an individual relapsing, management will carefully consider the next steps on a case by case basis. 
OPEN AND HONEST communication is KEY.
You have 24 hours to disclose to staff about the relapse. 
DO NOT come onto property if you are under the influence – call staff. 
If you are under the influence and come onto the property, you will NEVER be allowed to return to The 209 House in the future. 
Remember: relapsing can be a part of recovery, BUT IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE! 


5. Security

Individuals are monitored via Life360 for the first 14 days minimum while on the Move-In Phase or Refocus Phase to build trust & hold accountability. 
Always leave your location ON. 
You can shut off notifications on the app.
Security cameras are in use on the exterior of the property at all times. 
No interior cameras at this time to provide privacy. We want this to feel like a home, not a facility. 
Exterior doors have a fingerprint lock system
Doors lock automatically after 15 seconds, but please ensure they are locked when leaving and arriving. 
Do NOT open the doors for anyone unless staff asks you, besides law enforcement.


6. Confidentiality 

Facetime or video chats are to be done in private. Be sure to not get anyone else in the video. 
Never share with anyone outside of the house who is current/past guests of The 209 House.
If getting a ride from someone who doesn’t live in the house, please have them pick you up down the street. NO PARKING in front of the house or driveway while they wait
NO visitors allowed - this includes peer support, care coordinators, case workers, etc. unless approved by staff.
No one is allowed in any other’s bedrooms EVER. 


7. Meetings 

Individuals will attend a minimum of 3 approved AA, NA, or similar step-work meetings a week. 
Must have signed meeting slips signed and handed in at Monday night meetings. 
Must be ON TIME and participate in meetings. 
Encouraged to find a sponsor ASAP. 
Outpatient may be considered as meetings upon staff discretion. 
Women for Sobriety meetings are held bi-weekly at the house.
We try to have guest speakers bi-weekly as well.  


8. Financial 

Everyone pays $500 a month to participate in the program. These payments are split between two payments on the 1st and 15th if desired. 
Individuals are encouraged to try to get assistance for the first month’s program entry fee if you’re able. 
Women are expected to be self-sufficient for their program fees going forward. 
If you don’t have funds when applying, please still apply and we will discuss a payment plan if needed. 
If the monthly program fee is not paid or is late, guests may be placed on Refocus Phase until paid. 
Money is never to be borrowed from anyone for any reason. 


9. Individuals are not allowed to work, or go into, any establishment where alcohol is the main focus of the establishment. 

Including, but not limited to, bars, night clubs, casinos. 
Any questionable establishment should be cleared with staff. 
No gambling of ANY sort. 


10. No participation or involvement of any illegal activities. 

Any and all incidents/interactions with police must be brought to attention of management immediately. 
No unhealthy communication regarding drugs, alcohol, or stories of “using days” that glorify addiction or criminal behavior. 


11. All individuals are required to work, attend school, outpatient treatment, or volunteer a minimum of 30 hours a week.  No exceptions.

Individuals must supply the house manager with a work schedule at Monday night meetings. 
Curfew may be adjusted for work with staff approval as long as it’s not disrupting housemates. 
Upon entering if employment isn’t secured, individuals must apply for a minimum of 5 jobs a day until they have officially started their first shift. 
You will be required to share daily where you have applied with staff. 
If you aren’t showing much initiative to find employment/volunteer work, you will be asked to leave the house or given a deadline.Everyone should be productive throughout the day, this is not a place to sleep and hang out all day. 
HireQuest or People Ready may be a good option until securing employment. 
Express Employment helps to secure long-term employment as well.


12. Transportation

Individuals are responsible for their own transportation. 
Bus stop is about a block away from the house
Two electric bikes are available for use AT YOUR OWN RISK. 
If you wish to use a helmet, you must provide your own. 
ALWAYS lock up bikes with provided bike lock. 
Bikes must be brought inside the house after each use. 
Don’t charge for more than 4 hours - set a timer on phone. 
If asking other 209 housemates for rides, please be courteous on offering gas money - $3-5 per ride is acceptable. Please, don’t overask! 
No personal vehicles to be driven without providing proof of valid license, current registration, and proof of insurance for vehicle. 
No lending your vehicle to anyone in the house. 
No loud music when pulling up or parked outside the house. 
No street parking on Wednesdays. 


13. Food

Everyone is responsible for their own food. Can assist with a ride to the food pantry upon arrival and we have shelves for everyone to use at the house. 
Eating can be done in the kitchen or living room. 
Snacks/drinks in bedrooms are fine. 
Food is not to be on the counter. Please put in your designated spot. 
DO NOT touch any other housemate’s food EVER. 


14. Cleanliness

Hygiene to be practiced daily. 
Chores to be done and checked off daily.
 Chore done by noon daily if not working in the morning, or done immediately after work. 
Deep cleaning is done at 5:30 together before Monday house meetings. 
Deep cleaning checklist in the pink binder. 
Bedrooms must always remain tidy and beds made by 9:30am daily. 
No sleeping on the couch or the floor.
Dishes to be done immediately after use! 
No shoes in the house! 


15. Bedrooms

Bedrooms are shared with two twin size beds/bedding. Laundry hamper, storage tote, pillow, hangers, nightstand, dresser, towels, are all available for use. 
Each individual is allowed to bring the equivalent of 2 large suitcases. 
No nail/tack holes allowed, please use tape for wall hangings. 
No additional furniture to be brought in without staff approval. 
No individual shall change assigned beds or rearrange furniture without staff approval. 
No one is allowed in anyone else's bedroom EVER. 
Tell staff immediately if you see anyone in anyone else's room. 


16. Bathrooms

Only use your designated bathroom unless emergency. 
Do not use anyone else's items. 
ALWAYS keep the hair trap in the drain. Empty after each use. 
DO NOT flush anything other than toilet paper. No tampons, pads, wads of hair, Qtips, etc. 
Nothing to be left on the bathroom counters. 


17. Laundry

If laundry is left in the machine for longer than 15 minutes, any individual can remove it and put into the small laundry basket in the laundry room. Do not put into the dryer. 
Do not complain about someone taking laundry out of washer/dryer if it was left. 
The 209 laundry detergent is only for women who have not started employment/received their first check or for household bedding/rugs/etc. 
Empty lint trap after each use. 


18. Quiet Time

9:30 pm all 7 days of the week. 
No cooking, coffee, or washer/dryer use after quiet time. 
Individuals may watch television until midnight, as long as no others are disturbed.


19. Belongings

Any items left at The 209 House for longer than 48 hours after a guest leaves will be considered a donation. 
At no time is The 209 House responsible for an individual's belongings. 


20. Miscellaneous 

No stealing, fighting, or threats of physical violence whatsoever. 
No receiving mail until at least 30 days after arrival, must be approved by staff. 
No dating or romantic relationships with any other participants in the house.
Smoking and vaping are only permitted OUTSIDE. Throw cigarette butts in the designated sand bucket and dump when needed. 
No space heaters, personal fridges, candles, or incense are permitted.
Do not touch the thermostat at any time without staff approval. 
Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies are all provided. 
Hygiene products are available upon request when first arriving. 
WiFi and house laptop provided for use. Laptop to be brought back to the living room after each use. 

 


Phases of The 209 House 

  • Staff will try their best to be FAIR, FIRM, & CONSISTENT to all women of the house! If you have questions or concerns, please communicate!!
  • No individuals may spend time or communicate with anyone in active addiction/alcoholism. No exceptions. 
  • Management reserves the right to lengthen or place a participant back onto Refocus phase, phase 1, or phase 2 at any time if deemed necessary. 
  • EVERYONE IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO HOLD OTHERS ACCOUNTABLE!! THIS ISN’T “SNITCHING”, this is looking out for one another & not putting their own/others sobriety at RISK! ANY threats in result of a participant telling the house manager about another’s violations, will NOT be tolerated. 

 

Move-In Phase: Minimum of 14 days

Phase One: Minimum of 30 days

Phase Two: Minimum of 3 months

Phase Three: Until Move Out Date

 


Move-In Phase: (starts on move-in day for minimum of 14 days)

Allowing you to give yourself time to ease into everything, get settled in, build relationships with the other women of the house, build trust, & continue with a healthy structured lifestyle. 

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Get staff approval BEFORE you leave the house: please include where and who you will be with. Text Amanda with updates. 
  • Must download and always keep a location on Life360 to build trust -  you may shut off notifications. 
  • Can only leave the property for 2 hours a day for productive activities only. 
  • Does not include working hours if already employed.
    • Ex: gym, job hunting, appointments, groceries, etc.
    • Two hours is additional to NA/AA meetings.
  • Curfew is 8:00 pm until 6:00 am. 
  • Extra chores may be given by the house manager.
  • May be required to volunteer to stay busy/help in the community until working.
  • Must officially start your first full shift of employment & have paid the $500 move-in fee before potentially moving up to the next phase. 
  • Management MUST approve BEFORE increasing phases!


Phase One: (minimum of 30 days starting after the Move-In Phase)

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines. 
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase One. 
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval. 
  • Curfew is 9pm until 6am. 
  • Two overnight passes after 14 days in Phase One with approval. Must let staff know location and who you will be with. 
  • Management MUST approve BEFORE increasing phases!

 

Phase Two: (Minimum of 3 months after Phase One)

  • Must follow all The 209 House participant guidelines.
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase Two.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Curfew is 10pm until 6am.
  • Up to 4 overnight or out of town passes per month - need to know location and who you will be with.
  • Management MUST be approved BEFORE increasing phases!

 

 

Phase Three: (Until move-out date)

  • Must follow all The 209 House participant guidelines
  • Must meet & be approved with house staff before officially entering Phase Three.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Curfew is 10:30pm until 6am. 
  • Up to 5 overnight or out of town passes per month - need to know location and who you will be with.

 

REFOCUS PHASE (special circumstances ONLY):

This phase may be used if monthly fee’s are past due, in between employment official start day,  after certain violations of the house guidelines, or if the house manager deems necessary. 

  • Must follow all The 209 House house guidelines.
  • Must attend a minimum of 3 AA/NA meetings or similar program with approval.
  • Get staff approval BEFORE you leave the house: please include where and who you will be with.
  • Can only leave the property for 2 hours a day for productive activities only. 
    • Ex: gym, job hunting, appointments, groceries, etc. 
    • Two hours is additional to NA/AA meetings & church.
  • Curfew is 8:00 pm until 6:00 am. 
  • Extra chores may be given by house manager.
  • All monthly fees should be up to date before possible changing phases. 
  • Must meet and be approved by staff before being released off of Probation Phase. You may return or level down depending on staff’s decision. 
  • BE very aware of your behavior while on refocus!!! EVERYTHING COUNTS.
  • OUR GOAL IS FOR YOU TO SUCCEED AND WILL TAKE THAT APPROACH WITH ACCOUNTABILITY. IT’S UP TO YOU TO EARN AN INCREASE YOUR PHASE NUMBER!


The 209 House may implement other rules or regulations on an individual or the community as it deems necessary. These rules are laid out as clearly as possible to avoid confusion. If unsure, ask the house manager. Do not wait until after you have done it.

Honest and open communication is KEY.
